She told interviewers for the H3 Podcast that she was raised by a grandmother living in slums up until the time she turned three. Kenneth Taylor and Eden, an American ex-pat, adopted her. She explained that for the next 10 years she spent a majority of her time working on the family farm and performing chores. Bryner is her older brother. She also is the older of two adoptive sisters. Her family moved to the United States in Texas when she was 13 witht being able to leave her two older sisters who remained within the Phillipines. Poarch spent some years as an officer in the United States Navy, and later in Japan. Bella claimed that her father had abused her as well as her brother who was younger, as well as she was not able to make classmates at the school.
